September 6, 1980. Yes we were there and it was big fun! Maybe not classic, but super solid!!

Jim---"Second Augusta". Yes we were there too.. A little more than ten years after my first life-changing Dead event, our minds were blown and our faith in the Dead restored. For the rest of the 80s and into the 90s we were chasing Augusta. Saw some really great stuff but could never really recapture that otherworldly, ethereal majesty of Augusta.

1stShow----Sure wish the entire 74 Providence show had been released. That night changed my life, and in a good way. There was some fire, and there was mellow, but goodness gracious if the Dead had to be mellow Lord let it be like this. Also love those free standing Scarlet Begonias.................

VGuy and Burnsy---absolutely PNW box, has some great stuff, especially the 1974 shows.....

Music is the best means we have of digesting time.....
