Dave's #23 Disc 2. This listen inspired by revisiting 4/20/84-thank you Birchwood.

Just watched the John Mayer clip. The theme to CBS Sunday Morning always reminds me of growing up. Only had four or five channels to choose from then, and my dad used to watch that show every Sunday.
Continuing with the GSTL box; specifically the 5/7 show from Boston.

I was at that show at the Frost. Awesome time. I caught a lot of Phil shows while living in Marin and met him a few times. Really enjoyed the Q at the Greek. Not sure how I missed the BCT show.

A couple of my favorite Phil Lesh moments I saw live, 4/22/86 BCT the Dead opened up the show with Box of Rain and 4/27/85 Frost, the version of Just Like Tom Thumb Blues that Phil did was very cool.

    Nina Simone-Wild Is The Wind
Stanley Jordon-Magic Touch. I found a used copy of this yesterday. To my surprise it was a Blue Note release and in perfect condition. $6. I saw Stanley play with Phil at Terrapin Cross Roads several years ago. Remarkable guitarist.
In addition to Nina and Stanley I found a copy of Close To The Edge also in perfect condition and Tres Hombres. I revisited some of Dave's 35 and have no idea why I decided I did not like it and filed it away. Happy Sunday everyone. Beautiful day here in Vancouver.

Been checking out the clips on utube, Derek playing Tiger at the Beacon on Friday, he ain't superstitious. Sweet blend of Angel From Montgomery and Sugaree, super slide on Statesboro, Jerry, Duane and John Prine high fiving.
